EU Lead Factory wins Best IMI Communication Product Award

Yesterday the European Lead Factory animation won the best Innovative Medicines Initiative (IMI) Communication Product Award. The awards were handed out as part of IMI’s 10th anniversary during the IMI Scientific Symposium in Brussels.

In total, four prizes were awarded to communication products selected by a committee of staff from IMI, the European Commission, and EFPIA. The committee judged entries on their own merit based on impact, how well the product is aligned to the objectives, how well it is tailored to the target audience, and design.

The EU Lead Factory Animation explains the concept of the European Lead Factory in a short 100 second animation in a fast-paced, but easy-to-follow and entertaining manner. Kristina Orrling, Program Manager at Lygature and EU Lead Factory Communications Lead, comments: “The animation has been viewed almost 3,000 times on the project’s dedicated YouTube channel. It was successful in drawing attention to the project and lowering the threshold for scientists with an interesting drug target to approach the EU Lead Factory.”
