Review and selection criteria
The Review Committee has evaluated the proposals for scientific quality, target validation, chemical tractability, level of innovation, differentiation compared to existing treatments and exploitation potential.
Their evaluation has been used by the Selection Committee, together with elements like patient benefit and risk diversity of the portfolio, to select those proposals that contribute to a scientifically sound, diverse, risk-balanced, and economically justifiable portfolio of screening programmes.
The Selection Committee assessed proposals against three main criteria:
- Is the target or approach novel, or is there a clear need for new hits?
- Are the screening assays and supporting data of the highest scientific quality?
- Is the assay compatible with ultra High Throughput Screening (uHTS) ) or High Content Screening (HCS)?
- Please note that we currently only accept proposals for high content screening (HCS)
